Anthony's Nose Fall Hike

Hudson Highlands State Park
Westchester Co.
New York

Hiking Trails:
Camp Smith Trail: Blue blaze

Total Time: 1:40 Hours
Estimated Distance: 2.4 Miles
Level of Difficulty: Moderate
Level of Recommendation: Highly Recommended

Points of Interest: Excellent Views
Cons: Too many man-made structures in view

It started off as a wet Sunday morning, and gradually the rain weekend. It was still wet and misty, but I decided it was good enough for a hike. I had not been to the Camp Smith Trail up Anthony's Nose in a while, and figured this was a good day. It was the beginning of the fall foliage seasons, and although the sky was gray, the views made up for this. I parked on the Route 6/202 on the parking area heading towards Peekskill. I headed up the Camp Smith Trail, passing along several of the views, then hit the summit and took the small spur trail on the left to the view. I then turned around and went back the same route.
