There is an abandoned golf course in my area, which used to be a large and beautifully maintained property. The property was sold several years ago to a developer, but it currently remains abandoned, with remnants of the scenic area and old paths still present. This was a fascinating area to explore. I had seen other hikers in the area before, and in fact met a young family exploring the property when I was there.
I prefer not to disclose the exact location, but I did not see any posted notices or any other signs upon entering the property. I parked at a nearby environmental park, and then along the path took a path into the golf course. I traversed about 3 miles of the property on the old trails, passing overgrown sandpits, ponds, and bridges. I then returned to the environmental park and then headed back to my car.
