I left early for the weekend and decided to hike on another frozen lake in Harriman that I haven't been to in a while. All the lakes were still frozen and posted as safe. The weather was brisk with very strong winds, and the open area of the lake made the winds extreme. I bundled up fully to brave the cold and winds.

I parked at the Sebago boat launch, and then entered the frozen lake at the boat launch and crossed to the other side at the abandoned camp. I then crossed the inlet to Camp Nawakwa, and then headed back to the parking area.

I was in Tucson, Arizona for a tradeshow. This was a very quick trip, and I only had about an hour to hike at the end of the day. I decided to go to Catalina State Park, an area in the Santa Catalina Mountains that I have not yet hiked, and do a short loop.

I parked at the trailhead at the end of the park road, and took the Sutherland Trail as it meandered alongside the wash. I then climbed up and took the Canyon Loop Connector Trail to the Romero Canyon Trail, which I took back to the trailhead.

Lake Kanawauke and Lake Askoti are adjacent to each other. They were both frozen after a deep freeze, and it had just snowed the day before with a fresh layer of snow. We parked in the Lake Skanatati parking area, and then walked across the lake to the western side, and then bushwhacked to the Long Path, and walked on the Long Path for a bit before going back on the lake again, and crossing along the peninsula and back to the Long Path again.

At the parking area we walked up to Lake Askoti, and then walked across Lake Askoti to the northern point where the rocky point juts into the lake. We then turned around and walked along to the other end of Lake Askoti, towards the dam, and then took the Long Path from the short route from Lake Askoti to Lake Skanatati.
