I had to travel upstate to visit my daughter in camp. This was going to be an all-day event that also included visiting family. I woke up early to do this short hike because I was short on time. I parked at the Kakiat Parking area, crossed over the Mahwah River, and took the Mountain Trail up. I bushwacked to the north about halfway up from the climbing part for a shortcut to the lower view. After enjoying the view I took the path down to the Mountain Trail, and then went down the mountain trail along the same route.
